Fireworks and Theatre in the Park!

Our Guy Fawkes and Halloween celebration features a unique comedy theatre production of the Guy Fawkes story in the very funny 'Horrible Histories' style.

The production entitled 'The Catesby Catastrophe' is based on the fact that Robert Catesby who was the original instigator of the plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament is annoyed that Guy Fawkes gets all the credit for what was in fact Catesby's idea in the first place.

The Catesby Catastrophe

The piece performed in period costume is written in pantomime style. It is very light hearted, silly and fun with lots of audience interaction. It's very fast paced, full of energy and anarchy, a very funny look at history with lots of slapstick and modern references thrown in to make it more accessible to children of all ages.

Christchurch park will feature a truly haunting theme with gravely lit scenes featuring short undead performances, monumental lighting on trees, spookily lit grave stones creating a living cemetery with dancers and spooks and ghouls! This will all be supported with ghost train music along the walkways. A stage will also be in place featuring ‘DJ Rave Digger’ & ‘MC Bone Shaker’ with a special guest appearance from the stunning Just Jay Dancers.
